This Office of the Secretary of Defense FOIA release (24-F-0250) centers on a January 8, 2024 AARO memorandum for record. The memo describes the office's repeated attempts through 2023 to interview David Grusch for its Historical Record Report. It concludes that Grusch had no intention of giving AARO information about his claims. The release also includes text messages with Chris Mellon and congressional staff, email exchanges with Grusch, and DoD SAPCO and ODNI CAPCO memos stating that AARO may receive classified and NDA-protected UAP information.

The law may grant your office need-to-know, but does not establish policies and procedures with various data owners. I have managed multi-compartmented activities throughout my entire career and have multiple DCSA security professional certifications. I did not ask these questions for mere curiosity. DG 3
