This Office of the Secretary of Defense FOIA release (22-F-0863) collects internal emails from June 2021 to February 2022 among Under Secretary Ronald Moultrie, David Taylor, Neill Tipton and other intelligence and security staff. They cover coordinating the ODNI preliminary UAP report released June 25, 2021, and a Deputy Secretary Hicks memo on formalizing the Navy's UAP Task Force. They also cover a 28-member SSCI and SASC briefing, establishing the AOIMSG, and a search for a UAP director candidate.

The last one is just a placeholder—I haven't held the meeting yet, but will be able to provide a read-out in the morning. Thanks Neill The Establishment Memo and Terms of Reference for the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AIMSG) are out for Principal Coordination, and I expect to have a document for your review and decision next week. There will clearly need to be a transition timeline as we establish the AIMSG. The Executive Committee (I&S, DJS and PDDNI) will appoint an interim Director and Deputy for the AIMSG, and the current UAPTF mission and activities will move under the AIMSG until it can be fully staffed. I am working to identify the appropriate funding for the AIMSG, but ask for your support in looking across the Department for help to properly resource this mission. 44
