This Office of the Secretary of Defense FOIA release (22-F-0956) collects internal Pentagon emails from October 2017 to May 2018 about former staffer Luis Elizondo. Garry Reid wrote that Elizondo's claim to have led classified UFO programs was "pure fiction as best I can tell" and reported concerns that he might disclose classified information. Other emails cover a WIRED journalist's questions about DOPSR video clearance and efforts to find the Navy classification authority for a video.
requests are for any correspondence submitted to and returned from DOPSR concerning the clearance of videos for Mr. Luis Elizondo. I know that Cameron initially said that we wouldn't have records, but after a search, we found 16 pages of responsive records (mostly emails). We are providing them to the FOIA office with the recommendation that USD(I) and Navy review them prior to release.
