kind of experiment made on a system (such as the two-slit apparatus) in which no observation
occurs until after the system's essential interactions are completed. However, a choice
can still !Jc made as to how those interactions are to have resulted, even after they have
seemingly "occurred. a Wheeler's fundamental analysis strongly supports his quotation of
Niels Bohr, "No phenomenon is a phenomenon until it is an -:>bserved phenomenon. " The
view taken by the author of this present paper is that all detection/observation is totally
internal to the detector/observer. 'i'inls, until his ("its" in the case of an instrument)
det:~ction/observatton (literally, "change above the observable threshold") has ,ccurred,
the supposed or analytical "changes" occurring in the system are virtual, hence carried
in the "altogether" by a single photon, nested in its time portion. Ftu ~her, all "possible"
changes which might have occurred --the entire set of 9robabi'LtY states that propagated
forward from the previous observable change --are still pres&nt and riding in and on the .same photon. Thus any of them can still be selectec4. :by the next observable change (photon
interaction), depending upon the manner of interaction.
