# Thinks Strange Light Was Planet Venus
AUCKLAND, Today (PA). The Royal New Zealand Air Force can call its Inspector- General, Air Commodore R. J. Cohen, as a star witness in the top-level Services inquiry ordered into the flying light-mystery.
An independent investigating committee is now satisfied beyond all doubt that the mysterious light was in fact the "Space Ship Venus" which, on the day the mysterious light was reported, arrived at Kirkcaldie and Stains.
There can be no possible justification for the confusion of thought which has been publicly expressed for, as so long ago as last July, Kirkcaldie's announced the opening of an "Interplanetary Travel Bureau," and have already carried many juvenile passengers on the inaugural flights of the "Interplanetary Space Ship Venus."
The "Space Ship Venus" can actually be seen at Kirkcaldie's and flights are being booked continually throughout each day, although in view of the confusion recently caused, and in order to spare the authorities further embarrassment, night flights, with the exception of those on Friday evenings, have been suspended.
It should be noted, however, that the flashing lights of the "Space Ship Venus" are seen quite clearly during the daylight hours.
