# SOUTH WELLINGTON SEEKER AFTER KNOWLEDGE-OF FLYING SAUCERS
Into The Dominion office yesterday afternoon walked Kevin O'Brien. He introduced himself as South Wellington Intermediate School's Form 2G flying saucer information collector.
Kevin, who says he likes spending spare moments calculating data connected with a proposed trip to the moon, said 2G's-form master had seen a flying saucer and as a result organised a saucer-spotting society among the class.
Kevin is sure there are flying saucers. He thinks they are propelled by electro-magnetic engines, and says two things help establish his theory.
Kevin O'Brien in search of a flying saucer.
One is that saucers, are always seen flying tilted which would be necessary for maximum efficiency with electromagnetic engines. And the other is that a saucer's glowing light indicates such a machine. And where, do they come from?
Picking his words with tweezers, Kevin said: "I am sure they cannot come from anywhere on earth."
And why not? Because the stresses on the material of a sancer were beyond the strength of known alloys, even tungsten—"though, of course, they're not quite sure about tungsten yet."
What would Kevin do if a saucer landed on the playground, and a troop of little men marched out? Kevin looked serious. There'd be no need to panic, he said. We'd just have to try to settle things peaceably.
