-ions. If some of the reports are true, then these space machines possess properties that are truly fantastic. As far as is known, no earth dweller has suffered harm from one of these machines except by accident, so there is no need for fear, if you are the next to be encountered by one of these machines or their occupants. More information is needed, so, during the next month or two, why not develop the habit of scanning the skies. If something strange is seen, gather as many witnesses as possible, observe carefully and report objectively.

APPEAL TO SCIENTISTS: I appeal to scientists and engineers to take a greater interest in these phenomena, and to cease this ridicule unless such ridicule can be justified. Do not summarily dismiss the reports of reliable witnesses simply because of a preconceived disbelief. Examine the reports closely, analyse them honestly and draw an unbiased conclusion.

APPEAL TO ALL: In such cases that may be concluded to represent descriptions of space machines, we may come across clues that enable a greater understanding of the mechanism of propulsion or power production. Finally, I appeal to the Air Forces and Security Services of the Western world to release their suppressed information. If a number of U.S. citizens once panicked when they feared a Martian invasion was actually in progress, that is hardly sufficient reason to suppose that a similar panic would occur when the public is told that they are merely under observation --- and have been for many years by intelligences who have shown not the slightest degree of hostility. If it is hoped to have the co-operation of the public, then first co-operate with the public. The more people that know the truth, the more truth will everyone know. ## C.S.I. COMMENTS ON THE ABOVE

We are very happy, proud and encouraged by this learned scientists findings and expressions, his findings are remarkably similar to ours and other civilian groups elsewhere throughout the English speaking world. We sincerely trust there will be no more senseless ridicule and horse-laughs from the leaders of the astronomical world in the main. C.S.I. is aware that many amateur astronomers and some professionals have not laughed or engendered ridicule, but they have had little say in policy and top directives. Example must come from the top to achieve true results and sobering judgement, but the minds of many top men of science who scoffed so loud and long must of been void of any imagination or reasonable approach, because they have cast aside the evidences of the most qualified, as just so much rubble. However, the light is starting to break through this stupid barrier and some remarkable articles have been recently published authored by some of the most affirmed sceptics of yesterday, their most recent statements show long overdue reson ablness and in some cases almost complete somersaults; let us not discourage them.

C.S.I. is not yet aware of the author of "SAUCERS DO EXIST AND WHY", but we have our suspicions. Have you read the comments made by Professor Harry Messel of Sydney University in Australasian POST 31 Dec 1953 and A.M. (Aust-ralian Magazine) 8th June 1954. Professor Messel by his words in these two magazine articles shows clearly that there is a very high probability that the "Flying Saucers" are real and extra-terrestrial craft. If Messel did not write the article of particular note in this issue, then that means, that a number of distinguished scientists are now taking an active interest.
