This file combines a Defense Intelligence Agency routing and transmittal slip from Louis E. Foster with a US Defense Attache Office Tehran report dated 22 September 1976, released by the National Security Agency. The report describes a UFO sighting over Tehran on 19 September 1976. Two Imperial Iranian Air Force F-4s were scrambled, and both lost instrumentation or communications as they approached the object. The report also describes smaller objects coming out of the main object, one apparently landing, and a later helicopter search of the area.
