This National Security Agency release, Part I of a set of Communications Intelligence (COMINT) reports, carries no date. It holds heavily redacted intercept excerpts, and most of them record radar tracking of unidentified flying objects, with times, bearings, distances and altitudes. Many of these tracks are labeled as believed or probable balloons. Other excerpts describe visual sightings, including 14 objects flying in groups of three and a luminous spiral object that observers took for a guided missile.

SAGE = 30602374 INFORMED THAT TWO UNIDENTIFIED OBJECTS HAD BEEN SEEN AT OVER THE WESTERN SECTION OF THE HE, DESCRIBED THE FIRST AS VING A LUMINOUS RADIATION OF 24 METERS EXTENDING IN A SPIRAL FORM FROM A BACK CENTER. THE APPROXIMATE ALTITUDE OF THE OBJECT WAS GIVEN AS BEING BETWEEN FREE AND FOUR THOUSAND METERS, AND IT WAS STATED THAT IT LATER GAINED ALTITUDE OWENT IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION WITHOUT NOISE. ACCORDING TO THE COND OBJECT, FOLLOWING THE SAME TRAJECTORY, WAS SIGHTED LATER AT A HIGHER TITUDE. THE OBSERVERS SUPPOSED THESE OBJECTS TO BE GUIDED MISSILES. IF REPORTED SIMILAR SIGHT-INGS BUT DESCRIBED THE SECOND OBJECT AS A FALLING STAR. HE ALSO REPORTED THE SIGHTING OF A THIRD OBJECT WHICH APPEARED TO BE A DIRIGIBLE AND WAS SEEN TRAVELING FROM NORTH TO SUTH AT A VERY HIGH ALTITUDE AND A LOW VELOCITY AT -AT THE INFORMED THAT TWO UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS HAD BEEN SIGHTED OVER HE SAID THAT THE OBJECTS WERE SEEN MOVING IN AN FASTERLY DIRECTION AT HE REPORTED THAT ONE OF THE OBJECTS DESCENDED, IN A SPIRAL FASHION, TO AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 2534 METERS AND RADIATED AN INTENSE
