This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

22:21:18	C	That's affirmative. It was rather light sleep.
22:21:25	CC	Okay. Could we get the food report?
22:21:28	C	Roger. We've had two meals, ... last time. We're now preparing our third meal.
22:21:37	CC	And Meal B, both of you. You're preparing the third meal. Was the bulk of Meal A - -
22:21:45	C	Roger. I ate everything but some rye and beef sandwiches. Jim ate all of Meal A, and of B we both are saving our gingerbread for dessert for the noon meal.
22:21:57	CC	Very good. Have you added anything to the water report yet from the last time that we got the water?
22:22:13	C	Say again please, Houston. Gemini VII.
22:22:14	CC	Gemini VII, this is Houston Surgeon. We have had 61 and 52 ounces reported for water and have you added anything to that?
22:22:25	C	I added eight one ounces for the Pilot. That's a total of 81 for the Pilot and a total of 88 for me.
22:22:39	CC	81 Pilot, 88 Command Pilot. Gemini VII, this is Houston Surgeon. Can you tell me about this exercise, Frank? Have you been able to do it before each of the meals so far? Have we done the 10 minutes as programmed?
22:22:54	C	Negative. We're going to start it this meal.
