This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

99:05:48	C	Roger. That's all because the HF is still on.
99:05:55	C	How about now, Gene?
99:05:56	CC	Roger. Reading you loud and clear. You UHF now?
99:05:59	C	Roger. UHF. When we - when we turn the HF radio off - then you can read us. When the radio's on, you can't read us.
99:06:06	CC	Yes, okay. We're apparently UHF. You said you're reading us loud and clear and I can read noise in the background. Sort of like you're in a big barrel.
99:06:17	C	Okay, we're going back to our HF test then, if you don't have anything else for us.
99:06:20	CC	Roger. We don't have anything. Go back to your HF test, and it appears that if you're going to talk over the station HF, Frank, you're going to have to go from the HF/VF position to the HF position.
99:06:31	C	We did that.
99:06:36	CC	Okay, Roger. We understand. And we'll be standing by all night. See you tomorrow.
