This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

## CONFIDENTIAL 70:16:06 P My voice sounds a little hoarse in the cabin, too. Might be due to the oxygen, but no other problems. 70:16:14 C How do I sound, Chuck? 70:16:19 CC You must be taking helium! 70:16:21 C No, we're feeling fine. I'm very sorry about the EEG experiment. The ... caught on as I was trying to put something away and ripped ... three of them off. We tried last night but we just couldn't put them back on satisfactorily. 70:16:36 CC That's perfectly understandable, Frank. You didn't have the proper equipment for trying to replace those, and it was just an attempt that - it would be a real amazing thing if it did work out. It was worth a try and we're sorry it didn't, too. 70:16:49 C ... anyway. 70:16:53 CC Roger. 70:16:55 CC We have one other thing. I wonder if in the reporting on these meals - you're doing very well reporting meal number and reporting the time you had that meal, which is real helpful to us in our log here. Is it possible from your log of the water - at the time you say you had a certain meal at a given hour - could you also give us your water intake at the time so we can get some additional points on our curve here? It would make it easier to spread in the 24-hour period. Is that easy to do? 70:17:25 P We can give you the water that we added to the meal that we're supposed to eat at the same time as the meal, plus the water we drink at meal time. How's that? 70:17:33 CC That would be very fine, Jim, if you could do that. I have nothing else here. 70:17:46 CC Gemini VII, Houston. Have the news for the day if you're ready. 70:17:51 P All right. That's a good diversion. Go ahead. ## CONFIDENTIAL
