This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

Cuff's actuated again; reconnected at 45:42. ## CARNARVON 45:33:41 CC Gemini VII, this is Carnarvon CAP COM. 45:33:44 C Go ahead, Carnarvon. Gemini VII. 45:33:46 CC Roger. We want to run a test on the L-Band transponder. Would you turn it to the ON position, please? 45:33:51 C Roger. It's on now. 45:33:53 CC Roger. And then leave it on for approximately one revolution. 45:33:58 C You want to leave it on for one revolution? 45:33:59 CC That's affirmative. We'll be turning it off over Carnarvon again on the next pass. 45:34:04 C Let's see. We have a test over the Cape with it one of these days.
