Gemini VII Air-to-Ground Transcript Volume I: 5011500_VolumeI

· 341 pages · text by GLM-OCR

This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

## CONFIDENTIAL

32:10:03	CC	We'd like you to stow the photometer and we'll give you a complete briefing at the end of the sleep period regarding what we think the problem is.
32:10:13	C	Roger. Thank you.
32:10:20	C	I'm coming off the transponder if you have your reading.
32:10:25	CC	Roger.
32:10:30	CC	During the previous purge did you notice any venting of H2?
32:10:35	P	We did notice, but it is difficult to tell because we all - we have all this freeze-up at the windows and we don't know how we're coming.
32:10:43	CC	Roger.
32:11:33	CC	Could you give us the levels that you're going to leave your RSS pressures at prior to your sleep period?
32:11:40	P	Roger. 600 ECS O2, 450 RCS O2, and 450 Hydrogen O2.
32:11:49	CC	Roger.
32:11:54	C	RKV, you want the RCS heaters on at this time?
32:11:58	CC	Stand by.
32:12:03	CC	That's affirm.
32:12:05	C	Roger. They are going on.
32:12:19	P	Purge is complete.
32:12:21	CC	Roger.
32:12:55	CC	You both go for the sleep period after our LOS.

32:13:14	P	This is VII. Go ahead.
