This is Volume I of III of the Gemini VII voice communications transcript, covering pages 1 to 337 and marked Confidential. It records air-to-ground, ground-to-air and on-board exchanges beginning at lift-off. Early passages cover staging, orbit insertion and stationkeeping with the booster, which the crew reports is venting heavily, and they photograph it. Later passages near 116 hours hold the crew's detailed descriptions of airglow, stars and a sunrise seen from orbit.

31:18:21	P	Roger. The first indication of the problem with the reticle was the fact that the reticle of the ... photometer would never be RED. We'd always have it GREEN. We'd have the scale full-down, all the lights out and the mobile star would stay GREEN. We couldn't - we couldn't calibrate the star.
31:18:43	CC	Understand. You could not calibrate.
31:18:49	CC	Stand by, Gemini VII.
31:19:19	CC	Gemini VII, CSQ. Would you now repeat the report you gave to the RKV after the test?
31:19:27	P	Roger. Stand by.
31:19:29	C	CSQ, this is Gemini VII. While Jim's getting that out, it's a little warm in here and dry. The ambient temperature is right at 81 with a dew point of 57 in most of the place. We're just a little warm.
31:19:51	CC	Understand.
31:20:28	P	CSQ, this is Gemini VII.
31:20:30	CC	Go ahead.
31:20:31	P	I'm going to answer 4, 6 and 9, the sequences to the photometer check. The motor was running for Number 4. It appears here that we reported that the reticle was RED for Number 6. We'll check that. We went back and checked it again and it was GREEN.
31:20:50	CC	Roger.
31:20:51	P	Number 9 was the calibrate of the data ... day. The reticle was RED.
31:21:01	CC	Roger. Copy.
