This is a Federal Aviation Administration preliminary operations report, part of the 237UAP release, on UAP activity near Wilmington, North Carolina, on February 23, 2024. At 2139 Eastern, Jacksonville ARTCC advised that Spirit 1777, an A321 flying north from Fort Lauderdale to Newark at FL350 about 140 miles south of Wilmington, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon at its 12 o'clock position. The crew described two white lights that appeared stationary at FL490. The object was not observed on radar.
