This Federal Aviation Administration preliminary operations report, released in 2023, records a UAP sighting on December 7, 2023 at 8:51 PM CST. Memphis ARTCC advised that Southwest 498, a B737 flying from Atlanta to Dallas at FL400 about 35 miles west of Meridian, Mississippi, observed lights moving from left to right at a high rate of speed at approximately FL600. No evasive action was reported, and the object was not observed on ATC radar.
