This is a Federal Aviation Administration operations report dated October 13, 2023, covering UFO/UAP activity over the continental US on October 12, 2023. Several air traffic control centers said multiple aircraft saw bright lights shining through a smoke ring near Cape Canaveral, Florida, possibly a rocket climbing to FL300 to FL340. The event looked like it could be a failed SpaceX mission. Headquarters space operations confirmed the mission had succeeded and that rocket body recovery was under way.
