This 2023 Federal Aviation Administration record is a preliminary report from FAA operations about a sighting near Victoria, Texas, on May 17, 2023, at 2:20 a.m. local time. Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center relayed that Cargojet 906, a Canada-registered Boeing 767 flying from Guadalajara, Mexico, to CVG, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon. The crew described three white lights off the left side of the aircraft while flying northeast at FL390, 5 miles north of VCT. No evasive action was taken, and no law enforcement notification was made.
