This FAA operations report, released in 2023 by the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration, covers a late-reported sighting on April 16, 2023. Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center said that Air Canada 1091, an A333 flying north from Orlando to Toronto at FL390, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon off its left side about 35 miles south of Elkins, West Virginia. The report describes three to five flashing lights well above FL390 that other aircraft also reported. No law enforcement notification was reported.
