This Federal Aviation Administration record, released in 2023, is a preliminary FAA operations report for February 16, 2023. It says Boston Air Route Traffic Control Center advised that USAF HAMMR31, an F-35 flying from Burlington, Vermont back to Burlington, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon at 9:45 a.m. Eastern. The jet was eastbound at flight level 180, 46 miles east-southeast of Burlington. No evasive action was reported, and the report does not say whether law enforcement was notified.
