This Federal Aviation Administration preliminary operations report covers an unidentified aerial phenomenon near Washington, DC on February 1, 2023, at 7:59 PM EST. The National Capital Region Coordination Center passed on a report from a helicopter crew, FFX1. The crew saw the phenomenon on their left side while orbiting at 1,200 feet, 8 miles southwest of Reagan National Airport (DCA). The report says no evasive action was taken and that NCRCC was notified.
