This Federal Aviation Administration record from the Department of Transportation is a preliminary FAA operations report on an unidentified aerial phenomenon near Lynchburg, Virginia, at 7:15 PM EST on January 26, 2023. The crew of N541Z, a Dassault Falcon 2000 flying from Teterboro to Charlotte, reported the object while descending southwest from FL430. The report says the object was also traveling southwest and descended into the cloud base 10 miles north of Lynchburg. It was observed for 100 miles.
