This Federal Aviation Administration record, part of a 2023 release, is a preliminary report from FAA operations about an incident near Palm Springs, California, on May 18, 2021. SoCal TRACON said the crew of UPS 913, a Boeing 757 flying east at FL240 about 29 miles west of Palm Springs, saw an object pass 500 feet below the left wing. The pilot described a fast-moving, white, torpedo-shaped object and said it was not a drone. The crew took no evasive action, and the National UFO Reporting Office was notified.
