This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch Incident Report, released in 2023 as part of a Department of Transportation collection, logs an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on October 21, 2024. American Airlines flight AAL2694, a Boeing 737 MAX flying from SYCJ to JFK at FL360, reported several orbs moving in multiple directions at about FL400 to FL600, 125 nautical miles southeast of Atlantic City. The report states the phenomenon was not seen on air traffic control radar, and the case is closed.
