This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch Incident Report, released in 2023 under the Department of Transportation, records an event dated January 26, 2024, reported through facility ZLA. Multiple aircraft flying eastbound at various flight levels reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon about 25 nautical miles southwest of GFS. The phenomenon appeared as orange flashing lights, static in nature, at roughly FL260 to FL320. It was not observed on the ATC facility radar system, and the report is closed.
