This Federal Aviation Administration record from the Department of Transportation logs an unidentified aerial phenomenon report dated April 16, 2023, filed through the Washington facility (ZDC). Air Canada flight ACA1091, an A330 flying from Orlando to Toronto, was northbound at FL390 about 35 nautical miles south of EKN when the crew saw three to five flashing lights off the left side, well above the aircraft. Other aircraft reported the lights as well, and the case is marked closed.
