This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, part of a 2023 Department of Transportation release, records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on March 14, 2023. American Airlines flight AAL421, an A321 flying from Las Vegas to Charlotte, reported the phenomenon while eastbound at FL350, 78 nautical miles northeast of Memphis. The crew described two white lights well above the aircraft. The Memphis center (ZME) filed the report, and its status is closed.
