This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report from 2023 covers a sighting of an unidentified aerial phenomenon at 03:35 on February 4, 2023. JetBlue flight JBU1211, an A321neo flying from JFK to Las Vegas at FL360, was 36 nautical miles south of MCI. The crew reported multi-colored flashing lights ahead that left a contrail or wake. A trailing Southwest flight, SWA2520, saw the same thing and suggested it might be reflections from a satellite. Neither aircraft took evasive action, and the UFO Hotline was notified.
