This Federal Aviation Administration record from the Department of Transportation logs a closed report of an unidentified aerial phenomenon dated February 3, 2023. According to the report, the crew of United Airlines flight UAL1152, a Boeing 737 MAX 9 flying from Chicago O'Hare to Phoenix, saw a large balloon off the right side. The aircraft was westbound at FL360, 30 nautical miles west of RBA, and the balloon was at about FL500 or higher. Denver Center filed the report.
