This is a Federal Aviation Administration unidentified aerial phenomenon report, record 237UAP00154, released in 2023 by the Department of Transportation. It covers a 2023 event in which the crew of EJA flight EJA807, a C700 flying from IAD to BUR, reported a large balloon at their 12 o'clock. They were westbound at FL430, 15 NM southwest of MCM. The balloon was at about FL500 and below. Kansas City Center filed the report, and its status is closed.
