This FAA Skywatch incident report from 2023 covers an unidentified aerial phenomenon on 1 February 2023, and the case is now closed. The crew of Delta flight DAL573, a Boeing 737-900 flying east at FL330 from Seattle to Detroit, reported a large silver balloon between FL420 and FL450 off the left side, 30 NM south of FCA. The crew took no evasive action. Salt Lake Center checked with weather and traffic management, and neither had a record of a balloon in the air.
