This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released in 2023, records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on September 12, 2022. The Memphis center (ZME) took the report from Delta flight DAL2583, an A321 flying from Atlanta to Memphis. The crew said they saw a single light above them while at FL360, about 100 NM southeast of Memphis. The light shone for 3 to 4 minutes and then faded, and the pilot saw it six times. The report is marked closed.
