This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released in 2023, describes an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on August 7, 2022. American Airlines flight AAL2561, a Boeing 737-800 travelling from Dallas-Fort Worth to Charlotte, was eastbound at FL370, 58 nautical miles south of Little Rock. The crew reported two to three stationary lights above their altitude that kept appearing and disappearing. No other aircraft observed the lights, and the report is marked closed.
