This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch Incident Report released in 2023. It records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported at 06:34 on August 28, 2021 by Southwest Airlines flight SWA2067, a Boeing 737 flying from RSW to BWI. The crew was northbound at FL400 over Richmond when they saw an object ahead of them. It was strobing in a racetrack pattern near DCA at about FL550 or higher and was no longer visible by 0637.
