This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch Incident Report, released in 2023, about an event on March 8, 2021. It records that the pilot of Delta flight DAL1748, an A320 flying from Fort Lauderdale to LaGuardia, reported two bright lights between ORF and RIC that looked like a formation flight heading northeast. The crew said the formation seemed to fly toward them and then turn around. The UFO reporting center was notified, and the report is marked closed.
