This Clinton Library release of Clinton Presidential Records covers the National Security Council email folder labeled Area 51, dated September 15, 1997 to November 3, 2000. It lists withdrawn emails, most held back for national security or privacy reasons. Some emails were released. They include November 1997 talking points on the President renewing a classified information exemption for the Air Force site near Groom Lake, Nevada, under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Other released items are news clippings about Lake Havasu grass circles and UFO requests to the NSA.

Marisleysis Gonzalez, the 21-year-old cousin who says Elian thinks of her as a surrogate mother, declared Sunday at a Washington news conference "That is not Elian. Look how short the hair looks when he was taken out of the house and look how long the hair is in the picture that they show today." Kendall Coffey, an attorney the home of his Miami relatives, conspiracy theories abound over photos of the child released after he arrived at a military base to be with his father. Attorneys for Elian's father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, released pictures of the family Saturday after government officials brought the 6-year-old Cuban boy to Andrews Air Force Base just outside of Washington. Critics have closely scrutinized the father's photo with one captured during the raid just hours earlier by a free-lance photographer for The Associated Press. In the AP photograph, Elian is being held by a friend as a government agent holds an automatic rifle. In the pictures with his father, critics say Elian's hair is longer than in the AP photo and that he appears to no longer have a missing tooth. Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart, a Florida Republican who represents the Miami area, said he saw signs that the government was "brainwashing" the child. "I saw a little Band-Aid (in the Maryland pictures)," Diaz- Balart said Saturday evening on CNN's "Evans, Novak, Hunt and Shields." "I think the drugging has already begun."
