This Clinton Presidential Library release is a folder of White House email records dated September 27, 1995 to November 25, 1998, filed under the subject heading UFO, Flying Saucer, Flying Object. It holds forwarded news items: a molester who posed as a space alien, Hillary Clinton comparing the Whitewater probe to a UFO obsession, a report on Philip Corso's Roswell book, a satirical Mars Air Force story, and a Swissair report of a near miss with an unidentified object. Withdrawal sheets show that two pager messages were redacted for personal privacy.

But the general public has been slow to accept the Air Force's explanation of recent events, preferring to speculate on the "other-worldly" nature of the crash debris.
