This Navy report, filed in 1959 under the heading "Information, Collection of," went from a commanding officer to the Commandant, Eleventh Naval District, and was signed by direction by C. J. Economou. Its two enclosures describe night sightings of four round, silvery-white objects near San Cayetano Mountain. One witness was Police Officer Orville Clinton of Fillmore, California. The other was Police Sergeant D. A. Kelly of Santa Paula, with Officer Paul Lydick as a second witness. The air traffic control officer at NAS Point Mugu, who prepared the enclosures, called the cause undetermined.

Descriptive data on unidentified flying objects sighted by Police Officer Orville CLINTON of Fillmore, California.
## 1. Description of the objects:
a. Shape - round bell.
b. Size - two time the size of a basket ball.
c. Color - Silvery in color similar to the color of light from a flashlight shining in fog.
d. Number - four.
a. Formation - two appeared to be six to eight feet apart and the others were 30 - 40 feet apart. The two close together appeared to be nearer the horizon and the other two were above them in line.
f. Discernible features - none.
g. Tail, trail, or exhaust - none.
h. Sound - none.
1. Other pertinent or unusual features - none.
## 2. Description of course:
a. Observer first sighted objects after being advised by Santa Paula, California Police Department to look in the vicinity of San Cayentano Mountain.
b. Objects were first sighted about due north of the observer and appeared to be to the east and north of San Cayentano Mountain. Angle of elevation was about $ 4 5^{\circ} $ upward.
c. Objects were last sighted in the same vicinity but a little farther to the north.
d. Objects were gradually moving northward. The two objects that were close together appeared to try to come together slowly then would move apart very fast.
e. Objects disappeared by just fading away from sight.
f. Objects were in sight about one and one-half minutes. Not linked to a story yet.
