This Gerald R. Ford Library folder of Ford Congressional Papers holds material from Ford's broadcasts in 1965 and 1966. It contains correspondence with WJR station manager James H. Quello and drafts of Ford's June 1965 "Your Government" radio report on congressional imbalance, Vietnam and Cuba, along with budget remarks. It also includes Ford's March 25, 1966 on-air statement calling for a congressional investigation of UFO sightings near Ann Arbor, Michigan, a Great Society documentary script and a Meet the Press transcript with Indira Gandhi.

Dear Jerry:
WJR would like to resume the "Your Government" broadcast series, and we would like a 13 $ \frac{1}{2} $ - minute report from you to the people of Michigan. Miss Bernice Hase, of the Clear Channel Broadcasting Service in Washington, will contact your office to arrange for the broadcast, scheduled 9:15-9:30 PM Sunday, June 20th.
As in the past, we plan to alternate the two Michigan Senators on the first Sunday of each month; alternate a Democratic and Republican Representative in the middle weeks of each month and schedule a monthly report from the Governor on the last Sunday of the month.
We know the people of Michigan will be interested in these regular monthly reports, and we trust the broadcasts will provide a useful vehicle for direct expression of your opinions in your own words.
Remember, too, that our newsroom is always interested in timely news developments that may come from your office.
