This Internet Archive upload by Paul Galante reproduces the FBI's 2017 FOIA release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault about George Adamski. The release contains 281 previously processed pages. It includes 1954 Detroit field office memoranda on the Flying Saucer Club of Detroit, on informants who worried that its anti-hydrogen-bomb messages were political propaganda, and on a July 1954 meeting presided over by Adamski. Later items cover Joseph Perry's 1960 Grand Blanc saucer photograph, which was passed to the Air Force, and a 1960 Detroit sighting report.

Mrs. CrlAifrER stated she hc..s been interested in space and space activity since 1947 and since she is an Associate Editor of the U.F.O. Journal, published in Saginaw, she is interested in publishing in this JournaJ, information concerning space activity, missiles, aircraft, etc. She immediately made reference to two books, both of which she obtained from the Public Library, Saginaw. They are: 1. Project Satellite Edited by KENNETH W. GATLAND, F.R.A.S. The British Book Centre, New Y0 rk (1958) 2. The Making of a Moon By ARTHUR C. CLARKE Harper & Bros., New York (1957. She stated these books deal with missiles, their make-up, their flight travel, their capabilities, etc. Mrs. CRM~ER wanted the permission of the repor~ing agent to take information from these books and publish~¢ it in her U.F.O. Journal. She explained that she did not have to use the vmrds of the author, such as X-15 missile, but that in referring to this same missile, she could use the words Space Vehicle and instead of using the words miles per hour, she would break it down in fractions, of the speed of sound. Agent ·FRAZIER advised Mrs. CRM~ER that he could neither grant her permission nor deny her permission to reprint this information. She was further advised normal procedure would be to ask permission of the publishers and if this vlas not possible, an attorney of her o-vm choice, could be contacted for the purpose of determining whether her quotations were legal. !'-irs. CRM.ffiR ad vi sed that she felt these books disclosed too much classified information and information of a technical nature. She felt the general public should not be aware of this information. She stated that she felt the information in this book has not been censored by the Department of Defense. She stated she heard of other instances when scientists inadvertently disclosed confidential infor- mation. \fuen questioned concerning this statement, ~~s. CRM~R could not furnish any specific details, instances, names, etc. Mrs. CRAII-1ER advised she heard from a source that a secret meeting was held in the Hotel Statler, Detroit, in 1958. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss aircraft and the people in attendance were representatives of "engineering society", nhead of General Electric 11 , and nthose type of people". She advised that NMM the real purpose of the meeting \vas to discuss a ne\v type of fuel, namely 11neutronic fueln, which will eliminate the use of coal, gas, wood, etc. as fuel.
