This Internet Archive upload by Paul Galante reproduces the FBI's 2017 FOIA release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault about George Adamski. The release contains 281 previously processed pages. It includes 1954 Detroit field office memoranda on the Flying Saucer Club of Detroit, on informants who worried that its anti-hydrogen-bomb messages were political propaganda, and on a July 1954 meeting presided over by Adamski. Later items cover Joseph Perry's 1960 Grand Blanc saucer photograph, which was passed to the Air Force, and a 1960 Detroit sighting report.

! .\ VERN WILLARD REPRESENTATIVE ' . ~ ·· March 5, 1955 Federal Bueeau of Investigation P.O. Building Room 913 Detroit, Michigan 'SOCIETY THE EKLUND AGENCY 25TH FLOOR PENOBSCOT BLDG. DETROIT 26, MICHIGAN WOODWARD 3·8400 Subject: Detroit Flying Saucer Club. Gentlemen: . It has been some time since I have .given you a report on the Club. Although I have beeq in close contact with some of the members nothing of a subversive nature to warrant a report has taken place. I have been with Mr. Maday on several. of the programs he has put on not in the interest of the Saucer Club. It was apparently done for t'vo reasons: To gain prestige for Mr. Maday and possibly money. The MacMillan, Joe Fisher and John Craig programs all were losers from a money standpointo There has been some squabbling between the Officers of the Saucer Club. It seems Marxer got off on a deal of her o'~: showing the movie around to the cities adjacent to Det- roit, this was not successful. John Hoffman has been dis- satisfied with the way Maday has been doing things and they are disagreeing almost continuously mostly I suppose over money and the fact that Maday rang Craig's picture of the Bikini explosions. Randall Cox is critizing the lack'of adver- tizing etc., before each program, and so it goes. The last meeting I attended was the result of the last Officers meeting. it was determined that an election should take place and that the Club should be reorganized. The group leaders were contacted. A meeting was held at the Veteran's Memorial Building on February 25, 1955 at 8:00 p.m. (Letter attached). About 28 group leaders attended together with all the officers except Randall Cox. Ed. Andrews, a group leader accused Hoffman of not allowing the books to be shown at a meeting one night. It seems Hoffman told them it was none of their business. l \ '0) t,s--~ 67?-:- 59 SEARCHED~ ~AR 7 tsss Cd<- F.o• • UETROI 1
