This Internet Archive upload by Paul Galante reproduces the FBI's 2017 FOIA release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault about George Adamski. The release contains 281 previously processed pages. It includes 1954 Detroit field office memoranda on the Flying Saucer Club of Detroit, on informants who worried that its anti-hydrogen-bomb messages were political propaganda, and on a July 1954 meeting presided over by Adamski. Later items cover Joseph Perry's 1960 Grand Blanc saucer photograph, which was passed to the Air Force, and a 1960 Detroit sighting report.

Many of the writings- ~f MARTIN are incomprehensible. The December 18, 1954, issue of the Detroit News carries an article stating that Dr. CHARLES LAUGHEAD had warned of a coming world catastrophe and predicted the end of the world on December 21, 1954, had lost his job at Michigan State College Hospital due to this. He said he got his information from Mrs. DOROTHY MARTIN, a 53 · year old grandmother from Oak Park, Illinois. The December 21, 1954, Detroit Free Press carried a similar article about LAUGHEAD and Mrs. MARTIN regarding the end of the world. The January 1, 1955~ issue of the Detroit News contains an article stating that Dr. CHARLES Ao LAUGHEAD ' had been pronounced sane after a court hearing in Lansing, Michigan while Mrs. MARTIN agreed to be placed under psychiatric care rather than face prosecution. The January 4, 1955, issue of the Detroit Free Press contains a letter to the editor by LAURA MARXER stating that she speaks for "the countless volunteer civilian flying saucer researchers who are conduc~ing a serious investigation of the presence of unidenti~ied flying objects in the skies~···" "There are over 1,500 volunteer civilian saucer researchers in Detroit and surrounding areas. Some of us have gone into personal financial debt. because our own physical saucer experience.s were of such· substantial and serious nature that we feel that all-that can be known a~out flying saucers should be known.h It would appear, under the circumstances, that we are in the ignored minorityooooo" - 11 -
