Ford's Fifth District weekly radio scripts from January to June 1966, plus several National Republican Congressional Committee scripts. They deal with President Johnson's budget, inflation, four-year House terms, electoral college reform, foreign aid, the Vietnam War, rent subsidies and Memorial Day. And while diligently pursuing peace through the proper diplomatic
channels we should be doing everything possible to cut off the shipping

such vessels flying the flags of the Free World but only after being
pushed into it by months and months of Republican protest.
What would we Republicans do in the Vietnam situation? We would

doggedly use every proper means, milita:(and diplomati~, to achieve a
prompt, just, and secure peace.
