FBI file: UFO, UFO Part 16

Federal Bureau of Investigation · 169 pages · text by GLM-OCR

This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1949 Army intelligence reports of unidentified aerial objects seen around Camp Hood, Texas, forwarded by the San Antonio office, which told the Director it was reviewing and destroying such reports unless they held FBI interest. It also has 1957 FBI liaison memoranda on a radar-tracked object near Montauk Point and Benton, Pennsylvania, judged unlikely to be a Soviet operation. The file also includes a civilian Flying Saucer Researchers release arguing that saucers probably come from Mars.

MENO SAC:

RE: UNKNOWN OBJECT FOUND IN BACKYARD OF

## NO RECORD

At 6:00 P.M. this date, Okla. City, advised that he had found an object in the backyard with a piece of wire attached. He said that he had called the OCPD about it and then had called this office about it. Prior to calling this office the second time, he called the PD and had been advised they "hadn't investigated it yet".

further stated in an incoherent manner that he didn't know what the object was, that he didn't think it was a flying saucer "or anything like that" but that it looked like a piece of metal of some kind with a piece of wire "or something sticking out of it".

further stated that the officers from the OCPD had taken the object with them and had at the time "asked him how many drinks he had had".

was very difficult to understand and voluntarily furnished information that he "had been drinking some". was thanked for furnishing his information.
