This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1949 Army intelligence reports of unidentified aerial objects seen around Camp Hood, Texas, forwarded by the San Antonio office, which told the Director it was reviewing and destroying such reports unless they held FBI interest. It also has 1957 FBI liaison memoranda on a radar-tracked object near Montauk Point and Benton, Pennsylvania, judged unlikely to be a Soviet operation. The file also includes a civilian Flying Saucer Researchers release arguing that saucers probably come from Mars.

--- ```markdown ``` This information is being furnished the Bureau in view of the fact that a copy of the letter addressed to the Daily Oklahoman was designated for the FBI in Washington, D. C. It is apparent from the memorandums submitted by the clarks receiving the calls from that he was arrogant and possibly drunk. Oklahoma City, was interviewed by Agents of this Office in accordance with Bureau instructions. Mr. opened the conversation by stating he believed he had been doing too much telephoning. The Bureau's appreciation for his thoughtfulness in contacting this Office on matters in which he thought we would be interested was expressed and it was explained to him that there was no necessity for him to correspond with any newspaper in order to obtain action by this Bureau on matters over which we have investigative jurisdiction. Mr. stated he was still under the influence of alcohol at the time he observed the newspaper article wherein he was designated as being "soused" and he thereupon wrote the letter mentioned above. He stated it was not his intention to cause any trouble for the Bureau and that he contemplated changing his brand of whisky. He stated it is his desire to cooperate with this Bureau in every possible way. --- A photograph with descriptive data is being enclosed herewith. ENC.
