## PRESENT RESEARCH WORK

All reports received are shocked for source of report; all observers and newspapers printing reports are written to request any further details available, especially with drawings. In average of 35 newspapers and 35 eyewitnesses are written each month, of the more authentic reports.

All reports are checked for time, longitude-letitude, in case an object was observed in 2 places within a short time. Reports are also compared against previous reports, for similarity to 2 basic saucer types. Those now include:

Tiny spherical objects, 8 to 12" diameter. small saucers, about 40 feet in diameter. small saucers, ranging between 100-250 feet. historical objects, about 40" in diam. circular objects, resembling deltaplanes being tested by many airforces.

6. Rocket-like objoots, between 200 and 300 feet long.

7. Huge cigar-shaped objects possibly between 1,000 and 2,000 feet long. (See new Keyhoe book)

6. Huge groon fireballs possibly some sort of signal devices.

9. Color changing brilliant lights possible some sort of signal.

Historical reports are also checked, but are very difficult to locate, and very costly to buy. Many appear to be cylindrical objects rather than acuare like, but are equally mysterious in origin. All results of the FLYING SAUCER RESEARCHERS are printed in the group magazine, FLYING SAUCER REVIEW.

## CONCLUSIONS ON SAUCER ORIGIN

The result of the many studies made on this subject by almost all civilian groups, and some government groups, is that saucers are unquestionably from space.

From our own research as the first cancer group, we find that reports of the past 7 years definitely tie in with approaches of Mars. Four huge increases of reports occurred on these dates;

1. July - Oct. 1946 Hundreds of 'Ghost Rocket' reports over Sweden.

2. June - July 1947 Hundrods of reports over entire USA.

3. March - April 1950 Hundreds of reports over entire world.

4. July - Aug. 1952 Huge increase in reports over USA, and world.

If the saucers are from another planet, one would expect reports to increase greatly as that planet approaches earth, and a crossing becomes much shorter.

A check of all planetary position shows Mars was very close on 3 occasions

Our conclusions are that the source of the flying saucers is probably Mars. Their takeoff occurring just before the close approach of the planet, and arrival occurring several months after the approach. Present day rocket scientists state their calculations show this is the best method for a crossing or interplanetary flight, since a flight at any other time would have to cross 2 to 6 times of much distance. This would represent an increase from the small 35 million miles Flight to 70 million up to 220 million miles.

The sole exception appears to be the June - July 1947 reports, but Donald Keyhoe stated in his first book that the European 'Cost Rocket' sightings continued in small numbers as late as Dec. 1946; whereupon the first flying amoocere were seen in the US in Jun. 1947, and reached their tremendous peak in July 1947 with hundreds of reports per day.

This is generally taken to mean the first wave of saucers was actually part of the first phase of 'ghost rocket' sightings, and not directly from Mars as in following reports. Keyhoe has theorised they are flat, remote-controlled reconnaissance craft, while the thick rocket-like objects were passenger carriers.
