In addition, we exchange information and clippings with several other groups and individuals whose background involves them incidentally in this subject. These include:

1. JOHN DUBANRY of TRUE MAGAZINE: This was the first important publication to finance a civilian study of the subject in 1949, printing its results in its Jan. 1950 issue titled "FLYING SLUCERS ARE REAL" by Donald Kayhoe. Later it printed a more detailed development of the story in a pocketbook edition of the same name.

Mr. Dularry prepared and collated the material on the subject for Mr. Keyhoo prior to his investigation, and is the author of aviation magazines and one article in TRUE. He is at present the Associate Editor of TRUE.

2. JIM SANDERSON: Is the author of many magazine articles and animal books written from experiences in several expoditions to Africa and South America. At present, he has his own radio show in Baltimore, appearing also once a week on Gerry Hoores afternoon TV show, discussing natural history, and displaying animal specimens from his private collection. His former work in government bureau and Intelligence departments, has given him many connections with inside information in the US and British government.

3. BORDERLAND SCIENCE RESEARCH ASSOCIATES of Sun Diego. A group of more than 1,000 in the US, distributes its own magazine; and studies many similar mysterious subjects, receiving many acuser clippings from readers. They have lent more than 12,000 clippings to us in the past 2 years.

## COVERAGE OF REPORTS

At present, readers are sending in an average of 70 clippings a week, in addition to which an occasional old clipping collection will increase this number greatly. Total number of clippings received during the very active year of 1952 amounted to nearly 11,000, while total number this year is in excess of 8,000, including all sources.

All clippings received are processed by cutting them into lengths less than 6 1/2" , for filing lengthwise on 8 1/2" x 11" pages in notebooks. Each report is filed on a separate page, in precise chronological order, to keep them from being confused with similarly dated reports.

A separate file is kept for specialized saucer subjects, including photos (2 notebooks of photos, houses, vaportrails), sketches (more than 10), Inventors (1 notebook nearly fifty), magazine articles (6 notebooks), and half a dozen similar specialized subjects.

The number of reports in the files has never been counted, but with 105 notebooks filed, each with between 40 and 70 reports in each, total number of different reports is between 4,000 and 6,000 (not total # of clippings). In addition, several hundred large pages of negative films and photostats await processing into files.

Present report activity varies between 50 and 70 sightings a month, in the US, and this has filled 1 to 2 notebooks per month for the last 2 years. Notebooks are filled in two h drawer filling cabinets, with the third used only for correspondence and letterhead paper.

Within recent months, efforts have been made to make a more efficient coverage of reports, since many local sightings are printed in local area only. Although membership is excellent in most areas, it is work in several, such as the southeast, northern Rocky Mountain states, and southwest, and we want to cover those areas also.

To date, we have 7 newspaper cutting services, respectively covering the areas of AFRICA, CANADA, USA, 11 EUROPEAN countries, SCANDINAVIA (4 countries), ENGLAND and its colonies. Coverage for the 4 areas of southern ASIA, AUSTRALIA, SOUTH AMERICA, and the FAR EAST will be ordered when agencies for such areas are located.
