This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1949 Army intelligence reports of unidentified aerial objects seen around Camp Hood, Texas, forwarded by the San Antonio office, which told the Director it was reviewing and destroying such reports unless they held FBI interest. It also has 1957 FBI liaison memoranda on a radar-tracked object near Montauk Point and Benton, Pennsylvania, judged unlikely to be a Soviet operation. The file also includes a civilian Flying Saucer Researchers release arguing that saucers probably come from Mars.

15. FEB. 69 1953. MIDGEPORT, CONN. $ 4 1 \frac {1}{2} ^ {\circ} $ , 731 . A large explosion a rocked Connecticut, on 2 separate days, one accompanied with a flas light.
16 FEB. 8, 1953.1:10 AM. RUSAPE, SOUTHERN RHODESIA. A brilliant m colored flash of light was seen, and a swishing sound was heard when warm, hollow metal cylinder landed on ground. The object was examined by Dr, Graham White of a British Rocket society, but details on it never came out. Believed to be part of a weather balloon apparatus.

18. FEB. 9 1953. Night. FRANKLIN, VIRGINIA. $ 3 6 ^ {2 0}, 7 7 ^ {0} $ . A circular silvery object about 35 feet in diameter, with windows hovered in a for 2 nights. The windows appeared blue-lighted, while object gave red light. It was supposedly chased by jets, which it quickly outra (COMMENT: daucers with windows are rare, but the colors of this ob appear quite correct. )
#19 FEB. 9 1953. Night. Near CHERRY POINT, NORTH CAROLINA. A silver saucer was seen from the ground. A marine pilot flew about 30 minute trying to find it, then saw 2 red lights like plane lights move verically 10,000 feet up in a few seconds. He raced toward object at 5 mph, saw a white hot object with 2 red side lights about 10 miles away, before it disappeared in a flash of light when speeding away. (COMMENT: The sudden disappearance in a 'lightflash' is similar to many saucer report, where saucer speeds up so fast as to seem'invis

(COMMENT: This description fits a meteor, report included only because of 2 reports the same night over N. C.
24 FEB. 12 1953. 8:15 P.M. WASHINGTON, DC. 390, 770. A saucer watched at nearby Kensington for a short time. No other details from report on radio.
