This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1949 Army intelligence reports of unidentified aerial objects seen around Camp Hood, Texas, forwarded by the San Antonio office, which told the Director it was reviewing and destroying such reports unless they held FBI interest. It also has 1957 FBI liaison memoranda on a radar-tracked object near Montauk Point and Benton, Pennsylvania, judged unlikely to be a Soviet operation. The file also includes a civilian Flying Saucer Researchers release arguing that saucers probably come from Mars.

SEPT 7, 1951 10:00 AM. Near Grayline, Michigan. 444° Lat, 859 Long. Object resembling an airplane apparently exploded in air, and then crashed on ground. No known planes missing, none found, and airforcebase nearby claimed its personnel had fired a flare into sky about same time. Near PHOENIX, Arizona. 334°Lot,112°Lon A bright light (resembling a large star), under telescopic observation was found to be a large brilliant light, with 2 smaller equally brilliant lights on either side (now resembling a diamond brooch). It flashed from green to blue to amber at regular intervals, as it hovered, slanted right and left, circled, and made long swooping onaces over Carmelback Mountain.
